Misdemeanor Offenses

  • What is a Misdemeanor

Misdemeanor offenses may be punishable by up to 364 days in the county jail and a fine of not more than $2,500.  If you are accused of a misdemeanor, you have the right to a jury trial. Some clients elect to resolve their case through a plea agreement. My office has good working relationships with local prosecuting authorities and is proud of its misdemeanor trial record. It is important to discuss the best options for you with an experienced and knowledgeable attorney.

  • Domestic Battery

An arrest for Domestic Battery is a very serious matter with potential life-long consequences. It is imperative that you consult with an experienced criminal lawyer as soon as possible after arrest. I have handled hundreds of Domestic Battery cases. I have resolved many of these cases without a trial being necessary. As an experienced trial lawyer I have successfully tried numerous Domestic Battery cases resulting in "Not Guilty" verdicts for my clients.

Another important matter to note regarding an arrest for Domestic Battery is that if you are convicted of Domestic Battery you are not eligible for Court Supervision and a conviction will be entered on your record.

As an experienced criminal defense lawyer who has handled hundreds of Domestic Battery cases, I recognize the sensitive, private and personal nature of these cases. As your attorney, I will represent you with respect and compassion during the duration of these difficult cases. As your trial lawyer, I will zealously and aggressively defend you against these charges.

  • Disposition of Court Supervision

If you are a first time offender for many misdemeanors you may generally be eligible for Court Supervision:

  • If you plead guilty, or are found guilty after trial, the Court may impose a period of Court

Supervision where no conviction is entered on your record if you meet certain conditions.

  • If you successfully complete the period of Court Supervision, you may honestly say that you

have never been convicted of a crime.

  • Successfully completing the Court Supervision may allow you to expunge your arrest in the future.

As an experienced criminal lawyer, I have assisted hundreds of clients in obtaining Court Supervision and have successfully kept criminal convictions off of my clients' records. I will zealously and aggressively defend your case and advocate for you.

I will aggressively defend you.
